We had an awesome evening at the Griffin Opera House. It is such a beautiful, restored 1800s building. The owners greeted us and showed us to our seats. No seat is a bad seat in the intimate venue. The service we received from our server at our table for two was wonderful. We enjoyed barbecue sandwiches and wine 🍷. The 'KISS ARMY BAND was spot on!!! We can't wait to go back!!!

The Griffin Opera House has been in existence since 1894. It is a nice old school venue to watch shows like the one we went to. The group's name was Landslide NC. They are an amazing Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band from Charlotte NC. We are going to see a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band at the Opera House.

I've been enjoying shows at The Griffin Opera House since the doors opened. They bring some of the best bands to the area and host themed events The venue is absolutely beautiful and there is not a bad seat in the house for viewing the stage. It is set up to have an awesome show experience. It is not a club, bar, or tavern. It is a venue that gives you an intimate concert feel and meeting the band after the show is always a plus. The owners and staff are the best! Some of the friendliest people you can meet.

Very small venue. I can imagine a play or two performed there. Most of the upcoming acts are tribute bands..

I didn't see a KISS tribute band YET... 😀 I remember a "little person" KISS tribute band performing in my hometown.

The lead drummer was also a "midget" wrestler that worked ar Catfish Hollow at night, and believe it or not, operated a bulldozer by day.... but I digress...

We saw Departure which we try to see once in a decade, cause it's the same show every year, with the front man singing from the gut, and the lead guitarist taking his signature stance that reminds me of someone taking a #2 in the middle of the woods.

The Griffin crowd is a somber crowd. By that I mean "older".. lots of walkers, O2 tanks and wheelchairs, and OMG, bless her heart, one of the largest women I've seem live since that movie "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" , sitting in the king and half of the queens chair. Having the time of her life! bless her heart, with her boyfriend that reminded me of Shaggy from Scooby Do.

Honestly, people watching with a buzz on. Griffinites are a unique bunch that goes to bed @ 9pm. Grandpa sitting beside us was a hoot to watch doze off between songs.

In short, wonderful time! Can't wait to go back!

Very intimate and cool looking stage and opera house. The servers did a great job. We went and watched a free show for the veterans to enjoy. It was a great show, and I thoroughly enjoyed a young local talent named Dylan Brake.
