I have only lived in Columbus my whole life and I had never been in here. I took my daughter to see Neil deGrasse Tyson (she is in college studying astrophysics). The building is beautiful and the show was amazing. I was confused on the pricing though. The section we sat in, the tickets were $49. I didn't notice until later, we were charged for seats that were $69, but we were seated on the 3rd level. Maybe I am misunderstanding something. I went to purchase the tickets in person to avoid the fees that online had. My total ended up being $122. Even w/tax, something does quite add up. Either way, we had a good time, the tickets are just a bit pricey.

My wife & I visited to watch Cirque Afrique. The show was spectacular and the RiverCenter is a beautiful venue for hosting this and other performances throughout the year.

We particularly loved the convenience of free parking in the parking garage across the street.

I have attended several shows at the RiverCenter, and have been impressed. Until, I attended the recent comedy show featuring Ali Siddiq. The lighting of the performance was off, to the point that the performer himself asked why the house lights were still up. Once the house lights were eventually adjusted, there was no spotlight on the performer. Having a black man on stage with no house lights or spotlight impacted the performance, because as a story teller, it is important to see the facial expressions of the performer. Not sure who missed this assignment, but it needs to be addressed.

I have been wanting to see The Nutcracker for years and finally had the opportunity to do so. We sat second row from the front, and it was an amazing experience. We were fortunate to have the live Orchestra with the ballet performers. The talent of everyone involved was immeasurable. I look forward to seeing another performance in the future.

The Rivercenter itself was very busy with multiple shows but kept a decent flow to it. The theatre we were in was lovely and had the orchestra below under the stage. The seats were decently comfortable, and it was a great aesthetic and vibe. There were gingerbread houses on display for a contest that matched the Christmas season. The staff was friendly and helped us find our theatre and seating.
