I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mike Moreland Photography for my maternity photos! When I found out I was pregnant (first time mom) I was excited to find a photographer to work with.. I did my research and fell in LOVE with Mikes images. I am so lucky to have had him photograph my maternity shoot. He was easy to work with and great at communication & planning. During the shoot I was freezing (January outdoor shoot) & he was so kind and thoughtful and made it not bad for me at all. He has a great eye for beauty and capturing beautiful pictures. Mike Moreland was the photographer for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. It was an easy choice to have him as our photographer after seeing the photos he had taken of other brides and their weddings. We were glad that we did an engagement photo shoot, because not only did it give us an opportunity to see how easy it is to work with Mike, but it also gave us great pictures to use for our save the date cards and picture décor for the wedding day. We had several compliments from our friends and family members on the appearance of our Save the Date cards. Everyone loved the pictures and the layout. We worked with his office manager Tiffany to let her know what we wanted the cards to say. She was a pleasure to work with as well.

On our wedding day, Mike and his assistant Lauren arrived early to take pictures of us getting ready and also to do some pictures of the family and wedding party before our wedding ceremony started. They both did a wonderful job capturing all of the details, helping us know where and how to pose, as well as making everyone feel at ease. They knew what was important to us, because not only did Mike meet with us twice prior to the wedding, but he also had a very thorough form for us to complete so that he would know what was important to us on the day of the wedding. My husband and I talked after the wedding and agreed that having a number of photos done before the ceremony started was the way to do it. It enabled us to have more time to spend visiting with our guests after the ceremony and before the reception.

Mike and Lauren were able to get amazing photos of the wedding ceremony without us even realizing that they were there! They did a great job of capturing all of the endearing moments without causing a distraction. The reception that we had ended up being a bit crowded, but they still managed to be where they were needed for all of the special moments like the bouquet toss and cake cutting. Following our reception, Mike surprised us by taking photos of just my husband and me at a nearby park that has special meaning to us. The timing was perfect, because we were able to get pictures of us in our wedding attire while walking off into the sunset. It was just the type of relaxing photo session that we needed after hosting the wedding and entertaining all of our guests. The three of us had a great time together, and Mike knows photography better than anyone else we have ever met.

After we returned from our honeymoon, we were shown a beautiful slide show of our wedding photography that was set to music. Mike and Tiffany chose charming music and delightful photos to make our slide show one that we wanted to watch every day for several days after we brought it home. My husband said to me, “Mike will be our family photographer from now on”. My florist said “your photographer was amazing”. Now we just can’t wait to show the images to all of our friends and family. We are so proud of our pictures that Mike and Lauren took that we are going to have a special “premier showing” for our friends to come over and enjoy them with us. Thank you Mike Moreland, Tiffany, Lauren, and Moreland Photography for capturing the special moments of the happiest day of our lives with artistic, thoughtful, and technically stunning photography. If you don't know the vocabulary of photography let me just tell you, Mike's lighting and composition are flawless. You know those pictures that make you go, "Wow. That's really nice!" Well, every shot he takes is like that. Yes, he has the best equipment, studio space, showy umbrella lighting and electronic plugins for days, but even lousy wedding "pros" who have that could never come near Mike's classic, memorable photos. 30 years in business doing what he loves has only polished the natural talent you see in his work.

Recently I wanted some new headshots for web presence. I've never looked more professional and been so happy than with Mike's take on me. Plus he's super comfortable to shoot with, and put me right at ease on his land in Roswell (Sandy Springs), Georgia.
