I took my daughter to see Massari-Wood's Nutcracker last December, and we were both blown away by the talent of the dancers of all ages. The show was so inspiring that I decided to start taking ballet classes myself in January. I was nervous about starting at my age, but Lisa, my teacher, was so warm and welcoming. She has helped me to gain strength and confidence, all while teaching me more about this beautiful art form. I'm so glad I took the plunge, and I can't wait to start classes again in the fall. If you're thinking about taking ballet classes as an adult, I highly recommend Massari-Wood!

I love Massari-Wood! As an adult, it can be intimidating to try and find a studio that welcomes adult dancers. I have been taking ballet classes here for almost a year and they have just been the best! They have been nothing but welcoming and encouraging. Also, they have added a couple more classes for adults since there has been more interest! Massari-Wood has the best mix of offering top-notch classes with great instructors, while also nurturing a welcome and inclusive vibe for all dancers.

We love Massari Wood Dance Studio!!! My daughter has been with this studio for over 10 years and it has always impressed me with the way they instill a love for the art of dance when they are young and then emphasize technique as they get older. As a result of the training she has received, my daughter was accepted into the Governor’s School this past summer.

Massari-Wood has truly become our family! We have been taking ballet there since 2014 and have had a truly wonderful experience. The emphasis there is LOVE of dance! It's not about body type or discipline (in the negative sense). It's about fun, friendship, and coming together to do something you are proud of! Massari- Wood is a wonderful dance studio that focuses on creating positive culture and environment for its dancers. This studio serves a variety of ages, ranging from children to adults. It is one of the few places in the Chattanooga area that offers adult classes after 5PM. This allows working adults to unwind from a long work day by expressing themselves through a variety of dance classes. The studio is very accepting of beginner dancers while also catering to adults who have previous dance experience. I can't say enough about this awesome faculty! They work incredibly hard to make sure that classes focus on strength and artistry. If you are on the fence, I would really recommend that you take a class to find out for yourself!

I am such a huge fan of this studio. I rejoined the ballet world at age 29 after a 12 year break from dance, and Massari-Wood welcomed me with open arms. This is a truly inclusive studio where no one will be told they aren't young enough or flexible enough or thin enough or _____ (you fill in the blank) enough to be a dancer. Everyone is respected as an individual and challenged to reach their personal best. That's rare in the ballet world!!!!

My daughters have also grown up at this studio, and I couldn't imagine a better dance home for them. Classes are fun but challenge young dancers to actually learn classical ballet. We truly love our ballet home.
