When considering who to ask to take Senior pictures for our son, Grant, there was one option. Joy Sumner. For several reasons, Joy was able to capture the excitement of an ending to one chapter of his educational career and the beginning of another. Joy was creative, efficient, and flexible. Creative in that she used different scenes and backgrounds to bring out the Grant’s best features. Efficient in that there was not a lot of ‘sit around’ time during the session. Joy was flexible to allow us to choose the setting/location, provide us with proofs, and allow us to enjoy the occasion rather than dread it. Joy’s use of the latest technology helps to provide great images and capture the emotion of the event with (or without) any words being spoken! Joy Sumner is a great photographer and I’m thankful we chose her for our Senior shoot.

Joy and I have been friends for such a long time! When my oldest, Madison, needed her senior pictures taken, she was my first thought! Joy Sumner Photography is the best! We chose to do our maternity pictures with Joy and instantly fell in love. We knew she was our photographer for life when she did our newborn photos...she kept us calm and stayed until the job was done! Our little girl just had her 6 month pictures, and we could not love our photos any more. At each session, you can expect to laugh and make memories with no stress. Doing a session with JSP is like having a play date with a friend. She captures our little girl in her natural state...no awkward or stiff poses...just raw family moments captured for life!

Joy took our family Christmas card photos last year and they were incredible! It was hard narrowing down the ones we wanted on our card! She spent a lot of time picking a great location and a lot of time making sure she got all of the shots we wanted. She will be my go-to for photos in the future for sure!

Joy always does an amazing job! Not only are the pictures great, she takes the hassle out of extended family photo sessions. With ages ranging from 2 to 70 and everything in between, she is patient and organized. Joy works well across all settings. I highly recommend her.
