Jacob's Pillow, where do I even start? What a stunning venue for the dance festival and weddings alike. I photographed a wedding here last Fall and savored every nook and cranny of the property. There are stunning views of the Berkshire mountains and so many types of buildings to use as backdrops for wedding couples. Not only was it a pleasure working with Jacob's Pillow for the wedding, but I delight in taking my family to see performances every summer. The whole environment is extremely special, so much so that it's remarkable qualities radiate out of the landscape and the people alike. I can't wait to go back!

I have enjoyed many free events here such as community day, free fridays, pillow talks, and pay what you want performances. I’ve also enjoyed the ticketed performances. Blessed to live only 20 minutes away! It’s very inspirational venue for your artistic palate! Parking plentiful and grounds are beautifully maintained.

Went to Community Day with our almost 8 yr old granddaughter. This was her 3rd time going this summer. She liked this the best. Lots of fun things to do including crafts, painting and getting her face painted, 2 donkeys to pet and the highlight, Cooper, the dancing llama.

This is a great venue where we've been coming every summer to see wonderful performances.
They appear to be socially progressive, as you would expect from a creative artistic community.
However, their inflexibility on the "16+" policy for the morning classes is appaling, especially since the only rationale for that is a generic "liability", and, what is even more ridiculous, "it has been a policy for so many years". (They wouldn't make an exception (for a hip-hop class) for a highly athletic competitive performance artist who is a bit younger, even though we offered to sign a liability release.) That makes the sincerity of the rest suspect.

We were at the Thursday, August 22 performance of the Harlem Dance Theater. I had purchased ADA seats since my husband has an above knee amputation. There were 8 seats jammed into the small area. We had had also been there the last time Harlem Dance Theater performed in 2019. When we were there for that performance, there were a smaller number of seats that made it more comfortable. As his companion, I had to sit sideways because my knees were hitting the from of the box. It was very uncomfortable. ALSO, there were 4 people in the ADA area that were NOT handicapped. When I mentioned it to them, they claimed that they did not know. I said that was impossible, since the seating chart showed they were handicapped accessible. When I asked to speak to someone who worked at the Pillow, she was no help. She refused to refund me or at least a partial refund. The Harlem Dance Theater was also NOT that good compared to the awesome company of HDT that performed in 2019 that we saw. We will not be going back to Jacob's Pillow again, since they do not know how to make proper accommodations for patrons that need the ADA seats. I saw many other patrons with walkers and/or wheelchairs that had to sit in regular seats since the ADA seats were sold to people that had NO handicaps.

A beautiful and historic space with world-class theater. But just two stars due to a lack of concern for the audience's safety. The Barn was absurdly hot, and most of the audience in the show I saw were senior citizens. Giving out fans is not enough. And due to climate change, the situation will only get worse. Please get air conditioning.

Bathrooms are filthy and 'gender neutral' so a grown man walked into the same bathroom as my 12 year old daughter. My wife went in to keep an eye on him.

The whole thing is disgusting. Performance was pretty mediocre. Saw the Royal Ballet, but really no better than most performances in second tier theatres.

Save your money and your time. This place rides on a long ago reputation.

Quick response to Jacob's Pillow: Letting grown men into bathrooms with 12 year old girls is unforgivable. Period.

Let's see what the Becket PD do about grown men in every bathroom.
