Amazing location to buy art at items from local makers. A nice variety of items, art, styles, and price points. Wall art, jewelry, soaps, among other things. Worth a stop to support local creators and browse a truly unique inventory.

They are a wonderful souvenir store in the heart of Avondale. Collections of clothing, key chains, watches, art works, soaps, fragrances, and, other local handicrafts are sold here. The staff is friendly. Quality of products is great.

I love this studio, they have such a great variety of items I don’t think I’ve ever left empty handed. I’ve gotten bath truffles (my fav), eye pillow, a few necklaces, an art print, yummy smelling soap, and have taken a couple embroidery classes. I highly recommend checking it out!

I absolutely love this store! The business brings inventory in from local artists and every time I visit the store I always find something new. There is something for everyone and the staff is friendly and welcoming. If you’ve never been here I urge you to check it out. I’ve referred so many of my friends and family and they are always pleasantly surprised with all the beautiful things. GDS is always at the top of my list when I visit Avondale Estates!!

Garage Door Studio is a gem as the cornerstone of the Tudor Village in Avondale Estates. You can find a large variety of gifts handmade by around 70 artists, or curated or selected from top suppliers. The store features original wall art, jewelry, beautiful loose crystals, dishware, novelty clothing, greeting cards, teas, air plants, chocolate, tote bags, dog treats, and more. Personally I usually start here when shopping for mother's day, anniversary, and Valentine's day gifts, and only go elsewhere on the rare chance that an artist hasn't made something that'll suit the occasion. They'll also do a good job boxing/wrapping your item for a nice presentation at no extra charge, usually with a card about the item or artist.
I'm sure Garage Door knows its average clientele well by now, but what's holding me back from a perfect review is that I'd like to see more toys (they have a few stuffed animals) and local snacks (cheese straws, pretzels, chips, or something beyond chocolate and dog treats). Anyway, this is a highly recommended store for artistic gifts that probably has something for many people in your life.
