Erika has shot some of the most memorable moments of my life! She shot my maternity session, me & my sweet girl in the NICU (to this day these are some of my favorite pictures ever), my daughters newborn pictures, my family pictures, my headshots, & more. She made every session a fun experience & has always been there to celebrate with me during the fun times & has even been there to help brighten some of the harder times. Erika photographed my big family of 6 (my husband, 3 kids, 1 year-old and I ) in April and I can't express how happy I am with the photos! She did am AMAZING job. Erika did my (now 1-year-old) daughter's newborn shoot, so I knew she had the patience and skill to herd all 6 of us together and somehow get at least one photo of all of us smiling. I am horrible at taking pictures and whether she knew it or not, I was relying on her to help me make up for lost time. My daughter had just turned 1, so I asked Erika if she could take a few more shots of just her during the shoot. I must have asked 100 questions before our appointment. She answered all of them right away and somehow made it seem like I wasn't a crazy mom who was clearly overthinking every detail. When we arrived at the site, we started with photos of the whole family together and everything was going great until my 8-year-old daughter decided that it was a perfect time to have the biggest, most dramatic breakdown of her lifetime. Erika didn't bat an eye and worked with the other kids while my husband and I took turns trying to coach our 8-year-old back into the photos. Erika remained calm the whole time and tried to reassure our daughter that she looked beautiful and everything was going to be okay. We tried to make the best of it and at the end got a great picture of all of the kids, but I was convinced that due to the circumstances of our daughter refusing to be in any of the pictures, that we were going to be left one more year without family photos. I, of course, bugged Erika after the shoot and asked if she could send just a few pictures right away for Mother's Day. Instead she turned all of them around. I don't know why I was worried in the first place because I knew that Erika was a magician from her past work.To say I was absolutely floored when Erika sent me the final photos is an understatement. I don't know how she was able to capture the shots, but she did a phenomenal job. We now have a selection of great family photos, an awesome photo of all of the kids, some unreal photos of my baby girl and several candid shots that are so special. I absolutely love Erika and look forward to her photographing our family in all of the years to come!
