Came here for a quick Brunch before an event. We had a large party and they only had one waitress, Unique who was doing her very best to serve the entire Resturant. Please give her a raise! She was very kind and tried to meet all of our needs. Many of us had the Blueberry Lemonade for our drink which was very tasty. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Salmon Croquettes for appetizers, all very delicious. For entrees my party ordered the Bananas Foster French Toast w/ a side of Catfish, Gumbo & Salad, 1 lb Shrimp w/ Cajun fries, Grilled Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles. Everyone enjoyed their meals, however, I took one star off on the food because one of our orders came out wrong multiple times and our waffles were underdone. The chicken was great and cooked well. They did rectify the undercooked waffle by taking it off of our ticket which was a very kind way to make it right. That’s the only reason I’m giving a 4-star review. When the Resturant is properly staffed I’m sure everything will run smoother, but being understaffed was not the fault of any staff that assisted and helped us enjoy our meals.

We stumbled upon this place after having a long wait time at another and we are so glad we did! We got the salmon croquettes, chicken n waffles and shrimp po boy. The plates are large and good value for the price. The flavors were good and the atmosphere had good music volume and selections. Unique was a kind and attentive server even though she was busy. They even offered a birthday mimosa after finding out we were celebrating. Definitely would return to Blu !

I’m definitely adding Blu Rose to my rotation. I visited on a Sunday and dined at the bar. I ordered a lot but took most of it to go because it’s a lot of food. The customer service was great, very genuinely friendly. In the restaurant I had coffee, a French 75 with cognac & the grits - all were amazing. The grits were top tier!! I took the collards, Mac & cheese and seafood to go but they all were delicious. The collards have a little spice but still delicious. The fish and seafood was fried and seasoned perfectly. The oysters have a breading that wasn’t my fav as far as texture- it was thicker than I’m used to but it tasted great. I said no fries but they brought them out and even the fries are seasoned to perfection. The French 75 w/Cognac- the bartender done very well. It was made with fresh lemon/lime juice and had the perfect balance. Blu Rose was a great choice.
I love great food & service so I’ll be back!

This was my second time here- the first time was a few years ago. So I was expecting these to be a change in service however there was not.

The food was still very good but the service for largeR parties sucked.

Our server was extremely forgetful like it was her first day on the job. Had to remind her numerous times for the little things such as small plates, glasses, tea, water and even getting Togo boxes was a STRUGGLE.

They were out of paper to go boxes so everything had to be packed into plastic circle containers - that we literally had to beggg for.

Our food took 40 mins to come out after ordering and our waitress forgot the food for 2 ppl in our party.

They have a DJ on Friday nights - he needs to mix the music better.

Second & last time smh.

Our organization decided to have Brunch here one Sunday. From the first step inside we were greeted and welcomed warmly. We hand a party of 11 but they eagerly seated us. Food was amazing and the service was awesome. From the Calamari, the Banana Fosters, the smash Burger or those delicious Whole chicken wings and waffle….everyone enjoyed themselves and the food. Don’t forget that Blueberry Lemonade. On point. The owner even took time out to take a picture with us and share her story!! Thank you so much for taking care of us and we look forward to returning soon! N2PMC

I visited on a Thursday evening and chose to sit at the bar, where the bartender was very friendly. The food was decent— I ordered the calamari as an appetizer, shrimp and grits, while my partner had the fried shrimp with baked mac and cheese. However, the mac and cheese seemed overcooked, and the shrimp in my grits didn’t meet my expectations. The most disappointing part of the experience was the presence of fruit flies around the bar. I spent more time swatting them away and trying to protect my food and drinks than actually enjoying my meal.

Me and a few ladies went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious, try the candied Brussels Sprouts. The alcoholic drinks were good too. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. We were seated for about 30 minutes before the waitress brought us water or anything. We then asked about house specials since we had never been before. The waitress really didn't know and had to go check. We finally got our food and ate. The next thing we knew, they started moving tables and stated we had to get ready to leave because 8pm was their busy time-frame.

According to the app my food was supposed to be ready at 8:20 pm. I arrived at 8:32 pm. There were 4 patrons there eating and one at the bar drinking. The server and the bartender were talking with her. After I stood waiting for someone to be attentive, I said I am here for my online pick up. That's when I found out my food was not ready. Well DAMN! I received my food at 8:51pm. It was missing rice, the cocktail sauce, and aoli for the fried green tomatoes. I had to ask for the missing items. Luckily I checked my food before I left. Considering the server gave me my food with a bags tied up to go. The calamari was very over cooked and fried extremely hard. It also appeared the Blue Rose has changed their calamari. I was used to seeing the whole calamari and not just small rings of calamari and fried dough. Just horrible. The food appeared to be old food recooked. Just hard and overcooked. The seafood gumbo was So greasy with NO taste. The cook added what looked like 2 teaspoons of rice. The rice was barely swimming in the gumbo. I had to ask for more rice. The bartender and some other male worker both agreed the gumbo did not have the correct amount of rice. They did give me a side of rice. But DAMN!!!! Once I got home in a brighter light, grease was sitting on top of the seafood gumbo. All we could taste was greasy water. While the roux had a good color, it was too much grease. It was late and my family was ready to eat. I had to add seafood seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder to get the taste needed-- something other than grease. Eventually, my daughter didn't eat the gumbo. She had to order wings from Doordash. The shrimp was good. The fries were hard and cold, but the fried green tomatoes were good.

I've never experienced this from The Blue Rose. I also normally order to go Fridays. Now I'm not sure if I'll visit again for a while. Especially on a Saturday where there were only 5 people and my food was late, horrible, and missing items. One other thing, if the servers are presenting the food from the kitchen, they need to check the food before handing it out to the paid/ paying customer. I paid $ 67 for some bull crap. Plus another $25 to order food from another restaurant.

Here are my pictures......
