Came here last year and the place was in tatters. Very reluctant to return but played on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Course and facilities are in much better condition. $40 to book online but I prefer calling ahead and reserving and for some reason doing that made it jump to $48 with an additional $10 for range balls. If memory serves a round came with a free small bucket. Either way the course is solid. In my opinion the grill closed too early as many were still out on the course by the time we reached the turn but either way it was a nice experience but I’d recommend booking through golf now

A beautiful and challenging course for a middle handicap like myself. Reasonably priced and not impossible to get a good tee time. Many different ways to play a lot of the holes, looking forward to going back, my goal is to shoot 4 less next time haha

Horrible pace of play. Played 9 holes in 3 hours. Group in front stopped at the turn to get a bite to eat but still wouldn’t let us play through. Tee boxes are sand boxes and greens are infested with weeds. Never come here.

This was one of the worst golf experiences of my life. I had a tee time at 11 am and get to the tee box a couple minutes before that. There are two groups waiting in front of us to tee off on one. We do not actually get to start playing until 11:15. My group played the front nine in around two hours finishing at 1:15. At the turn I stopped to grab a hot dog and the inside of the hot dog was ice cold. Already in a bad mood from the cold dog we had to wait on every single tee box. We did not finish the back nine until 4. Nearly 3 hours after starting the back nine. It was apparent that this course did not care about pace of play. The course had multiple water fill stations and every single one of them was empty. I had heard great things about this course from friends. I was excited to play but that excitement quickly turned into disappointment as the experience was awful.

10/18/2024- I have been playing golf for decades and this course has to be the worst designed course in metro Atlanta. The course is full of blind shots, narrow fairways, and small greens. The first hole out the car is a blind shot par 4 with no distance markers nor yardage book. On the first par 5, a straight drive will land you in the woods. I get that the length and neighborhood require a compromise on distance but Com’on mane- this is course is “tricked up and a money grab for golfers”! The only positive was their greens were in good condition except #17. Oh, this feedback is from a 7.5, 8.8, 13.3 and 15 handicap group. Needless to say, it was $65 for average looking fairways, lack luster fringes, and brown rolled over rough that was 4 inches deep. This course is old, very old and not worth the money trying to up keep; IMO it’s prime for new homes replacing the golf course (like Trophy Club of Atlanta). I would not recommend this course (nor Smoke Rise). You can also tell what’s going on outside by what’s going in the clubhouse- merchandise, food, front desk service, and carts. If you want a better Dekalb/Gwinnett Golf experience, try Heritage!! If you want a Metro yet great golf course, try Southland for $30 cheaper.

Greens are great! Fairways always mowed for ball roll out. Pace of play good. Price quite reasonable. Have played here 26 years now. Men’s groups for weekend weekday golfers are fun with many friends met.

Gossly disappointed! Greens are spotted, tee boxes are in disrepair, fairways are destroyed at the edges, leaves not blown, crippling slow pace, no attendants in the restaurant, carts died twice, garbage corral running over and disgusting, pro shop and cart corral in disrepair… I won’t play again!

Under new ownership I can tell they’re trying to do their best to make some positive changes! Tee boxes still need some work but they’re getting there and I suspect CCG will be a great place to play in coming years.
