Absolutely beautiful! It was a great experience at the Grand Opera House in Macon. The architecture was stunning. Pretty much every seat had a good view. The acoustics were very good. I went to hear Voctave (Acapella group) and could hear them perfectly here! It is first come first serve so get there early.

Typically will see The Nutcracker and maybe another show here, every year or so. Always clean and have talented performers. Original and ornate details in all aspects of the venue. Close, cramped seating so don't expect much space but still comfortable. Clean, spacious and modernized bathrooms. Recommend middle balcony for best views! Finding parking can be a challenge. Street and lots available. Pay to park and some free depending on time. Research, arrive early and plan accordingly.

We enjoyed the Temptations show. We were sitting on the 2nd floor left side row E our view was great. The only problem was that the elevator didn't work. The sound was great, too.

Attended a one-day business meeting conducted in the auditorium for approximately 500 people. The seating and acoustics were great. Parking could be an issue depending upon the event attended at this venue.

I have visited here for the nutcracker performance on December 12th, 2021. We sat in the box area.

First of all, the house looks and old at the outside. The place shows a lot up sign, and also a screen showing the performances happening at the time you came by.

When I walked inside, I noticed that the place is crowded, and everything seems nice and clean. I felt nice and comfortable.

The bathrooms are really nice and also clean as well. There are multiple stalls here, which makes things easier when there are a lot of people around.

The stage and the audience section itself looks really pretty. Clean, nice, and it was a nice performance.

We saw the Nutcracker in this theater last weekend and had a heavenly time. We actually booked tickets in September for a Saturday in December. But I completely forgot to go!! I was devastated. The next morning, I raced up to the box office. The only tickets left were third floor box seats. We were told that they weren’t wonderful seats, but we took them anyway. It’s true, they weren’t great, but my kids loved them. At intermission, we spotted some front row seats which also weren’t great, but were better for our backs.
Our kids LOVED the show. We have since been entertained with toddler Nutcracker performances. I appreciated how friendly the box office workers and ushers were. There’s no mistaking how beautiful this theater is. It’s clean and well kept and has been preserved beautifully.

Seeing a show at The Grand is an absolute treat. The theatre is gorgeous, you’ll have as much fun looking at it as watching the show. And ladies, you’ll almost never wait in line for the restroom because the newly renovated restroom has so many stalls!
